While recording the "SMD" album the band was striving for the precise transmission of a gig's atmosphere. The tracks were recorded at once, without any juxtapositions. All after-the-record improvements were principally minimized. Musicians themselves agree, that the album enables everyone explore the atmosphere of a live show.
The album's title "SMD" - is an abbreviation of a customary english expression, wich is to be found in all tracks. Noteworthy is the fact, that all songs were composed by the band themselves. Some songs, like "Surf" and "Need you so much" are released for the first time and were meant especially for this platter. Some old songs like "Nice guy" and "Jailbird song", which for a long period were the band's callivy card are available as well. When listening, one can clearty notice the difference between the modern rendition and that of several years before; the difference is shown by the power guitar riffing, rocking manner and that vigour, present in every chord, every word.
What are the songs about? Certainly about love. Severe man's love, which is reflected in the very title. There is no men, whos heart hasn't been touched by this feeling. So are the "Barbulators", who have confessed their souls, sometimes tenderly ("Million of light years"), sometimes intrasigently ("Crazy for my baby").
At the beginning of the recording session the band didn't try to attain any hind of common musical trend or conception. Cheerful life and musical positions became fundamental for the album. That is why fans of all musical hinds can find something close on it.
